ScreenFox is a digital wellbeing app that helps you build healthier relationships with social media and mobile apps through mindful usage, gentle restrictions, and gamification. At the center of the app is a virtual fox companion whose happiness reflects your digital habits: The less time you spend on restricted apps, the happier your fox stays.

Your fox has hearts that decrease each time you open a restricted app. As hearts drop, the fox's mood changes: plenty of hearts means a happy, smiling fox; fewer hearts makes it look neutral; no hearts left and the fox becomes sad and starts crying. When all hearts are gone, access to restricted apps is blocked for the rest of the day. Finish focus sessions to regenerate hearts.

ScreenFox uses Apple's Screen Time API to monitor and restrict apps at the system level. You choose which apps to limit and set a daily heart budget. Each time you unlock a restricted app it costs a heart and starts a user-defined session. Once hearts run out, those apps are blocked until the next day.

Focus Sessions let you block restricted apps for a set period of focused time. When you complete a session, you earn hearts back. This gives you more unlocks for the rest of the day. This creates a positive loop between focused time and digital freedom.

After downloading ScreenFox, a quick setup guide will walk you through granting the app permission to use Apple's Screen Time API. Once granted, you can select which apps to limit, set your daily heart budget, and start building healthier habits.

Currently, ScreenFox is only available on iOS. The Android version will be released very soon. Stay tuned!

Yes. All your data — screen time usage, hearts, progress, streaks, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect or transmit your personal usage data to external servers. Your privacy is our top priority.

Absolutely. All restrictions are fully user-defined and can be changed at any time. You choose which apps are limited, how many hearts you get per day, and how long each unlocked session lasts. ScreenFox is designed to support self-regulation, not enforce control.

ScreenFox includes a motivation system with daily streaks, tasks, achievements, and an XP and leveling system. You are rewarded for consistent mindful usage, helping you build lasting habits over time.

Open your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ScreenFox → Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
